All the possible information about Jason
In the world of creepypasta characters you can find ghosts, demons, creatures of any kind and even humans. Jason is part of the last category mentioned, so he was born as a human being.
The first thing you notice about the toymaker is his good looks, which has always been the subject of criticism. I know that at first glance it is difficult to guess but I preferred to avoid the usual cliché of the ugly = bad, for which we are now accustomed. It doesn’t have to be a rule, or a law, because (thinking about real life) even good-looking people can be bad... if not worse.
His appearance is also intended to induce people to trust him. Manipulators are devious and they hide behind people who are often good-looking, educated, kind and polite.
So yes, Jason is cute but this feature is used as bait to secure the subject’s attention. The real look of the toymaker is that creature with the rotten skin, the white hair and the hate expression.
The character has this aspect also for a metaphor as representation of his depicted malignancy that shines through as rot, in fact it is possible to note that the skin around the "heart" is stained with black.
Curiosity: In Greek the name Jason ( Ιασων ) means to heal/the one who heals. I chose this name to match his sick belief that he can fix people, this is the second reason why he often uses the phrase 'let me fix you'.

creation
The most challenging part was Jason’s mindset and psychology, because I didn’t want to leave anything to chance. There is always a need for logic in a character’s behavior, whether it’s for a creepypasta or any other story. Our own behaviors have logic and motivation. So I built Jason’s personality by giving him the characteristics of a narcissistic manipulator with affective addictions.
Jason’s method is to make you believe that you need him. His victims (the chosen ones) are sensitive and insecure people that he approaches with his reassuring appearance. For this reason I created an aesthetically pleasing character: who would trust someone with a creepy appearance?
His affective dependence causes him to be a manipulator in constant search of recognition, he hates change and is possessive. It leads the person to doubt herself, over time it makes her feel insecure and he makes her move away from other relationships. In this way Jason, a sociopath, takes total control of the individual: his intent is to make the person believe that he is the only one you can trust, the only one who tells the truth and the only one who knows what is right and what is wrong. In this way he isolates the victim from anyone who can hinder him but in the worst cases, if he chooses to intervene the result can be read from the stories.
I’ve always described Jason’s character as a "cancer" because he feeds on people’s frailty until he leaves nothing but a puppet to control.
He’s sneaky, ruthless, selfish and.... No, a free yoga session won’t help him calm down.

Why this obsession to find a "chosen one"?
Because Jason was a child born into an over-demanding family, as the only child of two strict parents his duty was to be perfect and although he was brilliant at everything, his efforts were never enough. So he grew up with this constant obsession with perfection, with the constant need to be recognized for something he had done and once he met Amelia (antagonist in 'The Origins of Jason the toymaker') he seemed to have reached a balance.
Despite this, due to Jason’s manipulative nature, his relationships are destined to end badly because he will never be satisfied with attention and will never get enough. Jason will always be that child in constant search of recognition and perfection. There is no need to feel sorry for such people, especially manipulators. Even though Jason doesn’t exist, sometimes I talk to people who prove to be submissive to his toxic and dangerous behavior. In these cases, I never show that I agree with what I read, but I always point out that such behavior should be avoided. Some people can’t be changed.

"Immortal"
In addition to the features already explained, it is also necessary to talk about what is perhaps one of the obvious things: Jason's immortality. The character is born as a human being but something happens at a certain point in his origin story that binds his soul forever to that particular object and it is not a salvation but is to be seen as a curse. I was inspired by "The Picture of Dorian Gray."
This was also the case for Jason: at the moment when he was building that music box, absorbed in the deep thoughts and desire of his ambition, he bound his essence to that object. That is why it is kept in a safe place where no one can destroy it. This is why Jason lives for centuries without aging.
The information on the internet classifying him as a monster is wrong, Jason is a cursed human being. The ability to have great physical strength and the peculiarity of changing appearance are simply side effects of that bond but he is not totally invincible. I chose to give him a weakness: the only way to kill the Toymaker is to destroy what is kept inside the music box.
Knowing where the object is hidden, well, good luck.
It is finally possible to hear the melody of Jason's music box.

Toys and mold
The toys that Jason creates change based on the revelation of his appearance and is to be seen as the end of a spell. Like those fairy tales with creepy meanings. Everything is filled with mould, nauseating smells and deformities that give a gruesome appearance to the creations of the toy maker. The revelation of what he really is. Wax dolls are the only ones not to change since, unfortunately, they are the embalmed bodies of his victims (which he carefully arranges on shelves or poses as statues).
Scraps, garbage, broken toys and old wax dolls end up inside the mouth of a huge cloth snake named Mr.Glutton.

Mr.Glutton and Liquirizia
The appearance is deliberately ridiculous but the reason for its existence is far from being funny. You have to imagine Mr.Glutton as the shell of something, a huge sleeping bag that moves with difficulty, with awkward movements, the exact opposite of the sinuous ones of a real snake. He moves slowly, with uncoordinated movements giving the feeling that what is inside him moves him... but we know that inside there are only scraps. How he moves is a mystery.
From what I have written so far, it is clear that all the toys created by Jason conceal the disturbing nature of their own creator but that only two toys differ from the others and I have already mentioned Mr. Glutton.
The second toy, indispensable for him, is Liquirizia (liquorice). It is a mechanical toy shaped like a black mouse. It’s Jason’s eyes and ears, the spy who controls and follows the chosen one when he can’t. It hides in places where it’s hard to notice, and when the red in his eyes gets brighter and brighter, it means Jason is nearby.

So, yes, Jason’s creations are particular and although he is an artist, what he builds does not reflect beauty. Even the tools he uses to injure or embalme are often decorated, because I wanted to create a character capable of creating ambiguous and singular things. I can understand if many people do not appreciate these characteristics (and not only this) but it’s okay so, it is not mandatory to do it!

Toy Room

It is a place that exists but is nowhere to be found. It appears and disappears through Jason's will. It is a place that shares the same eternal curse as the toymaker.
The room is filled with toys, there are wax dolls, books, walls of different colors, and the decor is simple. This place reflects Jason's dual personality: on the surface it looks like a pretty room, but behind the walls lurks horror. (As well as order: although the character prefers perfection, his surroundings are chaotic.)
One of the things that is noticeable in the illustration is the numerous presence of the rugs. The reason why there are so many is because Jason uses them to cover the bloodstains.
The toymaker has a secret and it is behind a door hidden by wallpaper. Into that room end up victims who are then turned into wax dolls. It is a totally different place with dirty walls and stench of decomposition coming from containers specially made for disposal. Nevertheless, objects such as knives and other tools are colorful creating that disturbing jarring note in the environment. As if to tone down the seriousness of the situation or as if to show Jason's lack of empathy, because when a victim walks through that door she is no longer a human being but just an "object to be fixed."

.
All information currently ends here. I spent weeks and months collecting all the notes I had written during the early years of my character's life and I wrote a lot of things that I never had the opportunity to explain.
I did my best to show all my work I, to say that I didn't create a character overnight with no meaning and no logic. To show that I didn't need to copy anyone in the fandom.
In the end, I was forced to create this place to clarify my character's roles and rules once and for all. It's not just a matter of having different opinions, but it is the fact that there are people in the fandom who are capable of creating absurd accusations. I am aware that my character cannot be 100% original (as well as everyone else) and that's okay.
The stupidest thing I've read (and it's also recent) was a user's comment on a site claiming that Jason was created for the purpose of stealing another character's fanbase, that Jason was successful at the beginning of his appearance but that after his story everyone had forgotten about him.
Like, shut your asshole, I saw people who tattooed Jason the toy maker on their skin. Cry me a river.
To this day I still see cosplay, fan art, and people who like him. I am just happy to share my characters and stories with those who appreciate it and have time to share.
So yes, that's it.
To those who have come this far, I hope you have understood that you have to separate fiction from reality. For creating a character who practices manipulation on people and represents everything that is wrong, it is my duty to remind you that the people who love us are the ones who are always cheering for us and supporting us in our choices.
